Bridges to fill the gaps between missing teeth

A missing tooth or teeth can completely alter your appearance and have a serious impact upon your self esteem and self confidence. Fortunately, there is a solution to this problem: the procedure for replacing missing teeth, although still quite complex, can achieve fantastic results. A partial denture is a removable plate with false teeth attached. They are made of either acrylic or metal. The teeth are matched to your own natural shade.

A bridge is made of precious metal and porcelain. It is constructed by fixing crowns on the teeth either side of the gap; the crowns are then joined together by placing a false tooth in the space. As the bridge is cemented into place with a special adhesive, once attached, it cannot be removed. This is the favoured form of treatment if there are fewer teeth to replace, or if they are missing from one side of the mouth.
