Dr. Jeevan Bhuhi is a highly skilled implant dentist and Director at Hallcross Dental, where he is known for his commitment to ethical, patient-centred care and high-quality dentistry. After graduating from the University of Birmingham in 2012, Jeevan gained membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and completed advanced training in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry at the renowned Tipton Academy.
Jeevan’s expertise in implantology is exceptional. During his diploma training, he earned a prestigious Gold Award in Implantology, presented by global implant expert Professor Göran Urde -Stockholm. He then advanced his skills with a Master’s Degree in Implant Dentistry (Rome), with a thesis focusing on immediate implant placement.
In 2024, he was shortlisted for the Best Young Dentist UK award, recognising his exceptional skills and dedication to advancing patient care.
Dedicated to staying at the forefront of modern dentistry, Jeevan regularly attends courses worldwide, ensuring his patients benefit from the latest techniques and technology. He was one of the youngest dentists in the UK to adopt the innovative “magnetic mallet” technique—an advanced tool that allows implant placement and internal sinus lifts even in cases with minimal bone.
Habib joined Hallcross Dental Practice over 20 years ago as an associate and became one of the owners in 2017. His calm, reassuring manner is particularly welcomed by nervous and anxious patients.
He has a vast experience in General Dentistry and has attended numerous cosmetic dentistry courses throughout the UK.
He loves completing smile makeovers and transformations and restoring his patient’s confidence and quality of life.
He speaks Urdu/ Hindi and Punjabi.
Mike studied dentistry at Sheffield University and graduated in 1992. Following graduation, he furthered his experience in both hospital and practice settings, during which time he gained the Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Having first specialised in Surgical Dentistry, he was accredited as a Specialist in Oral Surgery in 1999 by the General Dental Council.
Following a change in direction, Mike started Orthodontic specialist training at Birmingham Dental Hospital in 2003, gaining the Membership in Orthodontics from the Edinburgh Royal College in 2006 and a Masters of Philosophy degree from Birmingham University in 2007. This allowed him to become registered as an Orthodontist with the General Dental Council (GDC no 68403).
Mike’s pre-consultant training then continued back at Sheffield Dental Hospital and Rotherham District General Hospital, where he gained further experience, particularly in complex cases, and obtained his Fellowship in Orthodontics in 2008. This involved specialising in complex cases requiring orthodontics in combination with surgery to the jaws, orthodontics in combination with implants and restorative treatment and also treatment of patients with clefts of the lip and palate.
Mike is an active member of the British Orthodontic Society, having represented the training grades groups on several committees and he has completed a term as a Trustee on the main board of the Society.
Dr Parmjit Kaur studied dentistry at Sheffield University and graduated in 1998. She subsequently undertook several hospital posts involving oral and maxillofacial surgery and paediatric dentistry.
In 2003, Parmjit undertook specialist training in orthodontics at Birmingham Dental Hospital, gaining a membership in orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006. This allowed her to become registered as an orthodontist with the General Dental Council.
Since qualifying, Parmjit has gained a wide variety of experience by working in all sectors of orthodontic provision including hospital, community, and private and NHS practices throughout the West and East Midlands.
Dr Kajal Kotecha graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Liverpool in 2020 and began providing general dentistry in London. She then went on to spend one year working in a hospital as a Senior House Officer at a Maxillofacial Department in London, dealing with complex facial injuries and surgery.
Kajal is passionate about providing the best level of care to her patients and is currently completing a postgraduate Diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry
Kajal is dedicated to ensuring patient comfort is a priority and has a calm approach, allowing her to work with nervous or anxious patients, building their confidence and trust in the dental setting
Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places and travelling the world with her husband, as well as spending time with friends and family.
Dr Shivani Mistry graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2021, and thereafter completed further dental core training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. She joined the Hallcross team in 2024 and practices all aspects of general dentistry.
Shivani has a passion for creating beautiful and healthy smiles. Her gentle and friendly manner puts even the most anxious patients at ease under her care.
Outside of dentistry, Shivani enjoys travelling, eating out and spending quality time with her friends and family.
Jeevan graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2022. Since graduation, she has done further training in root canal treatments. Jeevan offers a range of dental treatments focusing on general dentistry. She prides herself on working well with anxious and nervous patients and educating them on how to maintain their smile.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, photography, and travelling.
Amisha Topiwala is a dedicated general dentist who enjoys all facets of her profession. She has a particular passion for restoring faith and confidence in nervous or anxious patients. A graduate of Peninsula Dental School, Amisha has built her practice around patient-centered care. She takes great pride in guiding individuals through their dental journeys, helping them achieve healthier, more confident smiles.
Amisha is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in dental materials and technology, regularly attending courses to ensure she provides the highest standard of care.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys travelling, spending quality time with her family, and keeping active at the gym.
Dr Fayaz has a lot of experience in advanced surgical procedures such as wisdom teeth extractions or apicectomy. Dr Fayaz completed his dental degree from the University of Sheffield in 2008 and subsequently gained experience within a General Dental Practice. In 2010, Dr Fayaz undertook further development training for IV Sedation with SAAD’s Sedation Course.
In 2014, Dr Fayaz enrolled on the Prestigious Master’s Course for Dental Implantology at the University of Bristol under the guidance of Dr Jonathan Schofield. In 2015, Dr Fayaz joined the Restorative Master’s Course at Manchester University under the guidance of Steven Davis. Dr Fayaz completed the Master’s in Restorative in 2017 along with his Master’s in Implantology. Dr Fayaz is one of the few clinicians in the United Kingdom who has completed two Master’s Degrees.
Dr Hussein Ahmed has a patient focused approach to dentistry, ensuring each person who walks through his surgery door is treated just as one of his own family members. Coupled with his knowledge and attention to detail he ensures every patient is treated with the best level of care and advice for all their dental needs in a comfortable environment. In particular, helping anxious and nervous patients regain their confidence in quality dentistry.
Hussein received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Leeds whilst also attaining the prestigious Turner Prize in Dental Public Health. Since his degree, he has also attained a postgraduate diploma from The Royal College of Surgeons of England. Hussein has advanced his skillset in restorative dentistry by regularly attending numerous national and international courses. This foundation has led him to successfully gain a postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Aesthetic Dentistry and Restorative Dentistry.
Hussein is also a Certified Full Invisalign orthodontic provider. Furthermore, Hussein has a special interest in endodontics (root canal treatment), attaining a postgraduate diploma in 2023. He is on the final stretch of attaining a Master’s in Endodontology this year.
Over the last 10 years, Hussein’s passion to help individuals has thrived; being a key and active member of a charity organisation working in West Africa. He has helped to construct several schools and orphanages, provided communities access to clean water and frequently spends time annually in improving education and healthcare to those less fortunate. Apart from being an ardent traveller, his personal interests include baking, culinary experiences and spending quality time with his family.
Katy has a warm and friendly manner and particularly enjoys getting to know her patients. Prior to her time in the East Midlands, Katy honed her skills at Cherrybank Dental Spa in Edinburgh, notably the UK’s inaugural dental spa. She has a particular passion for performing cosmetic bonding to create stunning smile makeovers. When she’s not dedicating her time to her twin daughters, Katy enjoys outdoor activities and various crafting pursuits. You’ll often find her close by her Cricut machine, indulging in her creative hobbies.
Gemma began her career as a dental nurse in 2012 and has spent the last 12 years expanding her expertise across various areas of dentistry, including orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics, and implant dentistry.
In 2020, she joined the Hallcross team and went on to qualify as an orthodontic therapist. Gemma particularly enjoys supporting young patients on their orthodontic journey and seeing their confidence grow, as well as being part of a friendly, sociable team.
Outside of work, Gemma loves spending time with friends and family, going to the gym, enjoying live music and festivals, travelling, and gardening.
Cassie started her career in orthodontics in 2009 as an Orthodontic Nurse. She later graduated as an Orthodontic Therapist from the University of Warwick in 2018.
Cassie prides herself on her kind manner and attention to detail. She loves every aspect of her job role, particularly the reward of seeing her happy smiling patients at the end of their orthodontic treatments.
In her spare time, Cassie enjoys food, music and spending quality time with family and friends.
Alex is a recently qualified Orthodontic Therapist with over 16 years of experience in dentistry. After 10 years as an Orthodontic Dental Nurse at Hallcross, Alex became Practice Manager for 5 years, moving on to train in orthodontic therapy. Alex brings a wealth of knowledge and a patient-focused approach to orthodontic care. Known for being friendly and approachable, Alex enjoys building strong relationships with her patients.
Outside of work, Alex is sociable and loves spending time with her young family and close-knit group of friends.
Julie has worked in dentistry for over 30 years, beginning her career as a dental nurse, then going on to train and qualify as a dental hygienist at The Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield, in 1989.
On returning to Leicestershire, Julie worked in the Restorative Dental Department of what was Groby Road Hospital, Leicester and in various general practices in the county. She currently works part time at Hallcross and another practice locally.
Julie enjoys all aspects of dentistry, she is committed to providing an exceptional level of patient care and regularly undertakes continued professional development to meet their needs. Julie has a gentle approach to dentistry and works well with anxious patients.
Jo has enjoyed 19 years in dentistry in various roles – dental nurse, oral health educator and dental hygienist. She qualified with a diploma in Dental Hygiene from Birmingham Dental School in 2000 and has worked in practice in Leicestershire ever since, including a specialised periodontal practice.
Her favourite patients are those who don’t like hygienists, by that she means patients who are nervous or who have sadly gone through negative experiences in their dental history. Jo takes pride in being able to gain their trust and eliminate fear from these patients. It is very important to her that her patients are at ease and she likes to ensure that her treatments are a patient-led experience.
Out of work, Jo is a mum who enjoys going to the gym. She is qualified to carry out Reiki healing and loves travelling and socialising with friends.
Aaliyah qualified with a degree in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the University of Birmingham in 2018 and has been working in the field for over seven years.
She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but particularly thrives when working with patients who present a challenge. Aaliyah is passionate about helping patients understand and improve their oral health, and finds it especially rewarding to see the transformation that comes from their hard work and commitment. These moments inspire her to continue refining her skills by pursuing professional development throughout the year.
Outside the clinic, Aaliyah is a devoted mum to two young children. She enjoys baking, travelling, and finds balance through regular pilates practice.
