Healthy gums and good oral health are the key to keeping your teeth for as long as possible. Without healthy gums, your teeth aren’t supported, become loose and can be lost, leaving you with a gap. To ensure that you don’t have to worry about this ever happening (hopefully), you need to care for your gums as well as you possibly can. Book an appointment with one of our in house hygienists and then maintain visits every 6 months or whenever advised by Jo, Fiona, Jane or Julie. Maintaining the health of your gums is also about having a regime at home. Cleaning should be done religiously with you brushing for two minutes, twice a day and also finding time to use Tepe brushes or floss to clean in between your teeth. I’d suggest carrying some in your handbag/keep it in the car so if you’re on the go, you can take a few minutes out, clean between and then you don’t need to worry about it later on. Gum disease is the most common cause for tooth loss in adults. Help stay on the right track by booking a hygiene appointment today! Ask your dentist for a referral if you haven’t yet seen a hygienist here. Our hygienist clinics run every day apart from Tuesday and each hygienist works on different days.
